A Fashion Fix was established in 2012 simply as a hobby whilst up until recently working in Personal Shopping. Knowing absolutely nothing regarding blogging, let alone how to start the platform, the idea was intriguing. Setting aside countless hours of researching gathering inspiration to eventually one day start a creative outlet working with the likes of Selfridges, Farfetch, Harvey Nicholas, Coach and ASOS. Turning your passion into a full time role is challenging but also extremely rewarding. My style and the way I tend to dress is usually unplanned. I find this always leads to the best outcome when less organisation has been applied into dressing. As much as I believe in dressing for your shape, I do tend to reach for oversized garments for a more relaxed look. Obviously, I am no fashion expert I am just learning every day and taking everything in as A Fashion Fix evolves. If you would like to get involved with A Fashion Fix please drop me an email at afashionfix@hotmail.com or fill out the contact form on the contact page. ABOUT A PAIR & A SPARE ABOUT THE WEBSITE Born out of a love of creativity, a pair & a spare is about discovering the creative process in all areas of life including fashion, food, travel, interiors, entertaining, beauty and building that awesome business (that will make you happy to get out of bed in the morning). And showing you how you can do it yourself. Here you’ll find tutorials, recipes, interviews, behind the scenes, studio tours and IMHO advice columns. ABOUT THE FOUNDER Geneva Vanderzeil is best known (to her friends) as the master of breakfast taco making, but to others she hasn’t had the chance to cook for yet, she’s the founder of a pair & a spare. Geneva grew up in Australia and after moving to London in 2008 started a pair & a spare (back when people thought blogging was something you did, solo, in a forest). Initially Geneva created her blog as a journal for her DIY projects, but over time it has grown to become a place for hundreds of thousands of people to get creative with their lives. Six years on, a pair & a spare isn’t just a website, it’s a global community of like-minded women, sharing wherever we go the good times, laughs and inspiration. And maybe one or two fails… but that’s totally part of the process! Geneva has built a global community based on a love of exploring and recreating the creative process – in fashion, food, travel, interiors, entertaining, beauty and business. Geneva has published a best selling book called DIY Fashionista, designed a shoe collection and most importantly, been able to turn her passion for creativity into a career, working with brands from all over the world to create unique content (including Marriott, Visa Card, 3M and Coach), writing for major publications like Harper’s BAZAAR and Vogue and through her business and blogging advice, inspire others to do the same. Geneva splits her time between Hong Kong and Australia, but travels so much she feels like a nomad! We love to get social so make sure you check out a pair & a spare on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Youtube. If you're wondering, I'm the daydreamer, mover, and shaker behind the curtain here. I'm located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. But super proud to call Hawaii my home sweet hale*. The earliest memory of my introduction to calligraphy was as an 8-year-old in the 3rd grade when I: A) changed my handwriting style every month or so; B) received my first calligraphy pen, small nib collection and "how-to" book set for Christmas; and C) took up pages and pages of composition notebooks with sketches, doodles, big and small block letters, script, and different written fonts in colorful pencils and pens. I AM: Seeking knowledge, balance and clarity Thriving on whole, natural foods, household cleaning and beauty products Understanding Universal connectedness, spiritual awakening and the Earth Encouraging positive vibes Having fun on the journey Don't be afraid to drop me a line to say "hello!"

Frassy started as a visual journal documenting my daily outfits, an endeavour I casually began to combat boredom back in 2009 while studying at a too-traditional University. After graduating, I opted to pursue blogging as a profession and move to Paris. The city was always my dream and so at 21, I launched the website full time and moved into a crumbling apartment on the left bank with 2 suitcases and no friends. Those first four years in Paris were both magical and incredibly formative to what I’ve achieved professionally so far. Since then,  Frassy has evolved to showcase my entire life – I wear the clothes I love alongside personal stories in an effort to offer deeper insights into my life, the things I love, the problems I face and the brands, projects, places, habits and  ideas that inspire me. Frassy also gave me the opportunities I needed to now also work as a freelance photographer and writer for both brands and individuals alike. A year ago, I abandoned Paris full time and set up a life further south in Barcelona, Spain. I now work between the two cities with exciting plans for the near future. And as always, from the day I began this little website to now, I am overwhelmingly and constantly humbled and inspired by my readers’ support ; thank you for following along, thank you for watching me grow and change, thank you. I keep you all in mind everyday here and beyond.

This is for me.

Hi. I'm Rachel. Simply put, I write. Not-so-simply-put, I want to write it all, every moment, down to the way I press down upon the letters of this keyboard in a cadence of clicks. I itch to move the world with the nib of my pen.

New York is my city.
I speak jibberish with my friends in cafes.
I keep daily tabs on flights to London when my gas tank is usually running on empty.
I long to know some understated, mapless coastal pocket on the edge of a continent.
I constantly ask myself what hepburn would do.
I believe in whimsical.
I can count the number of freckles I have on all my fingers.
This no longer bothers me.
I search for obscure foods in farmer markets.
And this little piece of the internet is my secret life of daydreams.

I’m a reporter in Salt Lake City, covering crime and politics at Deseret News. I chase across this small metropolis for that one story my fate perpetually hangs on. I have a BA from Brigham Young University in literature, where I worked as an editor for Inscape, a student-run literary journal.  I run a writing blog called the Secret Life of Daydreams and send annoying letters to the editor of the New Yorker on my free time.

I'm a journalist, storyteller, scrivener, fictionist, shameless people watcher and lover of all things provincial. I fancy cobblestone streets and the edge of a continent. I'm an American by birth, a perfectionist by nature, a nomad by happenstance, and an enthusiast by choice.

For questions, comments, a potential story idea, rates and details, or a simple hello,
please feel free to email me anytime.

Thanks for following along and it’s so very nice to meet you!

Rachel
